Biography
Minister Marvin Matthew Walker Jr. was born in Detroit, MI on December 12, 1974. He graduated
from Redford High School. He accepted The Lord Jesus Christ as Lord and King on December 23, 1990 at Perfecting Church under
the pastorate of Pastor Marvin L. Winans. He was called to preach and received his calling at the age of 16, along with the
vision that was given him “ To preach the gospel to the masses”.
Pastor Walker has preached in churches within the local communities. He
has committed his life to preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ for the rest of his life.
Along with his grandfather, the late Rev. Willie James Walker, Pastor of Platt Road M.B.C, in
Ypsilanti, MI. Min. Walker has been influenced by some of God’s finest ambassadors such as: Bishop Marvin L. Winans,
Pastor Donnie McClurklin, Bishop Walter Hawkins, Pastor Ivon J. Luster, Bishop Iona E. Locke, Vickie Winans and Pastor J.
Drew Sheard of Greater Emmanuel Institutional C.O.G.I.C where Min. Marvin Walker Jr. was a faithful member until relocating
to Dallas, Texas. These individuals have played a significant role in the nurturing of the gift of God in his life. Minister Marvin Walker Jr. has now entered the presidential office of a Pastor. He is now the Pastor and Founder of New Jerusalem, “The City of My God” located in Dallas,
Texas.
Pastor L.D. Lee of Greater Vision Church in Houston, Texas serves as Pastor and leader to Pastor
Walker and the New Jerusalem Church Family. He is also a personal mentor and a spiritual father to Pastor Walker.
Pastor Marvin Walker Jr. has developed a heart to do God’s will and has yielded his will
to God and to serve God’s people. He as also developed a sincere desire to preach the gospel.
Now, the heavens are open pouring out and Pastor Marvin Walker is standing ready to receive.
